Overview of our Poll Dorsets

Warrawindi Poll Dorset’s flock number 161545, was purchased in 2004, which had been a successful stud for the previous 40 years. Warrawindi’s has moved with the times concentrating on lamb production which has pushed the limits of growth and Eye muscle.

Our ewe flock consists of 450 breeders which consistently lamb at 150%.

The stud’s performance is also gauged on production in the 1800 commercial XB flock, targeting 22-26 kg lambs at 4-5 months of age yielding 48%.

Genetic selection for the top sires in muscle and growth are sourced from Hillcroft Farms WA & Pollambi NSW.

All rams are scanned and have full ASBV’s to assist with selection.

We are Lice Free, Brucellosis Accredited (1177).
